Who is organising Study Week 2012?
The week is organised by a committee of young people from various Sydney ecclesias. Study Week 2012 is sponsored by Riverwood Ecclesia.
What are the age requirements to come to Study Week 2012?
You must be at least 16 years old by the time Study Week commences. The age limit is approximately 35.
Can I pay when I arrive?
This being the electronic age we need everyone to pay in full at least one month in advance (1st June), so we know you are definitely coming and we have time to contact those on the waiting list if you aren't.
Do I need a paypal account to register for Study Week?
No. You can follow the directions provided on the paypal page to pay with a credit or debit card.
How many people can come to Study Week 2012?
Bookings are limited to 350 young people. The number is limited due to the capacity of the auditorium. A waiting list will begin once we receive 350 bookings.
When should I plan to arrive?
To help you plan your travel details, we've set up a Travel page, which will be updated with more information as we get closer to the week.
Is it ok if I get to Study Week late or leave early?
Study Week is designed so that the most benefit is gained by being there for the whole time. Please only book in if you can be there for the entire duration of the week.
I am thinking of booking in or I am on the waiting list - will I get in?
Based on past Study Weeks, there can be anywhere between 60 - 90 cancellations, so don't be discouraged :) (You will be able to get a refund for any amount paid over the deposit if you don't get in).
Can I get a refund?
If you can't make it to study week, or you're on the waiting list and don't get in, we will refund the money you have paid, minus the deposit and any paypal fees.
Why do I have to provide my Medicare details on the booking form?
If you need to go to a doctor or hospital during the week, we may need your Medicare details to ensure you can be treated as quickly as possible. Past experience has shown that it can be difficult to contact parents to get this information when it is needed.
I'm Australian, but don't have a Medicare number. What should I do?
Ask your mum. Mum's are good for things like that.
I am from overseas, I don't have a Medicare number. What should I do?
Medicare is only for Australian residents. You will need to pay for any medical expenses you incur while traveling in Australia. It is recommended that you have travel insurance to cover any large medical expenses, such as incidents requiring hospitalisation.
I haven't received my study notes in the mail ?
We post study notes to the address you nominated on your booking form. If you left this blank we won't have sent them, or if put in an address you're no longer living at, there's a good chance they've gone there.
Last time I didn't find out my team colour when everyone else did. Why not?
We let people know by email close to the week (for those that supplied an email address on their booking form). If you've changed email address, it probably went to your old account. There's a chance it's gone to your Spam or Junk folder, check there (consider adding the @studyweek.net domain to your safe senders list). If you didn't supply an email address, we will either SMS it to you (if you supplied a mobile number) or you will need to wait to get a letter in the post (this could take a while, we have a lot of stamps to lick).
