Study Week Aims and Expectations

  • To focus on spiritual matters that we might grow closer to our Heavenly Father and His Son, Jesus Christ.
  • Christ is our ultimate example. So in ALL actions, thoughts and words we ask that you please demonstrate behaviour that reflects him.
  • The Committee strongly encourages all attendees to do as much spiritual preparation as possible PRIOR to Study Week. Not only will this add to the spiritual atmosphere, but you'll gain more from the week.
  • In keeping with the spirit of Study Week, please respect the Bible School facilities and equipment. We ask that you also please respect the instructions of our Hosts and the Committee.
  • No day visitors or part-time attendees will be permitted. Attendance at all studies and organised activities is compulsory.
  • Attendees must not leave the Bible School for any non-organised activities without prior permission of the Committee and Hosts.
  • Please do not bring anything with you that might distract you or others from getting the most out of Study Week.
  • No fireworks of any description; they are dangerous and illegal!
  • Alcohol, cigarettes and illegal drugs are not permitted.
  • Mobile phones are not to be used (including SMS messaging) during readings, study groups and studies.
  • We ask that you please wear modest clothing for all activities. There are a variety of activities occurring during Study Week and we’d like you to be comfortable at all times. In light of this, pants may be worn throughout the week for all attendees. When packing, please keep in mind that modesty and moderate dress will be insisted upon.
  • Failure to abide by any of these expectations may result in you being asked to leave Study Week.  Attendance at future weeks or weekends would be by review only.

The committee thank you in advance for your cooperation with the above.
